Who Needs a “Business Coach”?
One of the reasons small business owners don't hire coaches is that
their entrepreneurial approach can lead them to think they don't need
such outside help.
The great thing about entrepreneurs is that they are quite optimistic, naturally driven and open to learning by doing. The downside of entrepreneurs is that they overestimate their ability to handle things well, or they can't collaborate or learn essential things until it's too late.
ShareKnowledge recognizes and respects the positives of this optimism and openness to learning by doing, as well as the downside, can help the small business owner harness that optimism and balance it with other factors, to achieve greater productivity.
ShareKnowledge helps people to work out what their business priorities are and getting settled into their strategy and deployment. It's not so straightforward when you have to work out your own priorities and strategy. Your ShareKnowledge coach and mentor will give you plenty of guidance and support, but have to be more rigorous with yourself about your vision and the strategies to achieve that. With many years in successful small businesses, we can speak - and listen - from experience.
One-on-One Coaching
A typical coaching session includes 3 interactions per month, for 3 or more months. We use a combination of face-to-face meetings based on the client’s needs and availability.
We want to be your "Business
Coach"
Businesses are a lot like people. They come in different ages, strengths,
types, and sizes. And just like people, businesses need professional
check-ups to stay healthy. While we all want to be in top shape, we
periodically need to visit some sort of physician... even if it's as
minor as getting our annual flu shot. Whether you need an occasional
"check-up", a year-end "physical", a second opinion or even some immediate
"emergency room" treatment, we can be there to help. We offer a full
line of sales and marketing advisory services that can be tailored to
exactly fit your needs and your budget.
At ShareKnowledge, we'll do our best to make you feel comfortable when
you're working with us and qualified to handle your toughest questions
in a professional manner... because we are! All businesses are different
and no one knows your business as well as you. But there are often key
sales and marketing areas to work on to get your business working effectively.
These could include:
Internet and Mobile Technology Coaching
Using web and technology effectively provides a competitive advantage critical for successful companies. Using web technology as an effective business tool is often overwhelming. Effective web technology use is a differentiator between you and your competitor. Most companies have also the opposite problem of having too much technology for their market and perhaps a web site that does not return an ROI that can be justified. Sometimes over zealous employees produce reasons why a business should continue their investment. Unfortunately without an audit, your company may simply be developing technology and managing it simply for the opportunity of the technology department to maintain their employment. The best results emerge when the coaching matches the company’s profile.
The Role of ShareKnowledge
The fact is, many of us go into business being good at what we do but
not knowing very much about how to run a business. Eventually, though, after perhaps years of losing money unnecessarily,
we face up and admit to ourselves that unless we begin to take
control we will eventually lose it altogether.
Most people know their core business quite well. The wine maker knows how to make wine and roofing contractors know how to apply shingles. Most of the time, though, businesses do not understand the basics of sales and marketing and overall business planning. As you would expect, these things are our core business...proven and we're good at them! We offer you the expertise of owning our own successful businesses and the professionalism of our associates with the attention, quick turnaround, and reasonable rates that have become our trademarks.
